thumbnail A blury picture of the WDW gate as we entered the Walt Disney World Resort area. (BIG)
thumbnail The gate at the parkinglot for the Magic Kingdom. By this time, we had already checked into our hotel (All-Star Movies) and got our tickets. We later figgured out that it's better to take a Disney bus to the MK, because we had to wait a half an hour for them to even LET us onto the Monorail or the Boat to the Kingdom. If we had taken a Disney bus, we would have been let off right at the MK gate. (BIG)
thumbnail A better view of the MK parking gate. We got free parking b/c we were staying on property :-) (BIG)
thumbnail The castle in the MK as seen from the Seven Seas Lagoon on the ferry from the Ticket and Transportation Center (fancy name for "Parking Lot") (BIG)
thumbnail Space Mountain as seen from the ferry from the TTC. (BIG)
thumbnail Even though we had to wait at the TTC for the Ferry and/or Monorail to start up to take us to the MK, we still got there before they droped the ropes to let the guests to the rides. Standing there was Mickey, and since there wasn't too many little kids around to get their pictrue taken with Mickey, we decided to get ours while we waited for the park to open. Adam went first. (BIG)
thumbnail Another picture of Adam with Mickey. We were still getting used to the fancy digital camera, and Andrew took two by accident, but not a major problem. (BIG)
thumbnail Andrew with Mickey. (BIG)
thumbnail Andrew and Adam with Mickey. This is the same picture we used for disneyfreaks.wreck.org homepage. (BIG)
thumbnail Our original plan was to start the day at Epcot so we could ride Test Track, the new ride at Epcot, that would be closed for maintenance the rest of our trip. However, we discovered that Epcot opened an hour later than the Magic Kindom, so that's why we went to the MK first. This picture was taken while we waited for the Monorail to take us to Epcot. Notice our "Mickey Ears" that Adam is wearing. (BIG)
thumbnail Andrew, with his "Mickey Ears" while waiting for the same Epcot Monorail. (BIG)
thumbnail In the post-ride area of Test Track (sponsered by GM) there was this... thing, for lack of better term to describe it. We never got a chance to do it, since the line was so long, but it must have been some sort of virtual reality GM driving ride. It just looked funny with all the people sitting in these contraptions, watching the same thing, with the contraptions moving the exact same way. It wasn't very bright in the room, so I took the best pictrue I could. (BIG)
thumbnail The roof on the inside of the body pavilion at Epcot. This picture was taken in an attempt to capture Andrew jumping up in the air, but all we got was his Mickey Ears. (BIG)
thumbnail On the second attempt, we succesfully captured Andrew jumping in the air. We were both amazingly Awide-awake, alert, and enthuseastic (try saying that 10 times fast) for having 3 hours sleep, waking up at 4 am, a 3.2 hour drive, and already had 2 hours at disney, all before we had ANY breakfast!! (Adam drove the begining shift out of Valdosta, and had a little bit of food before we left, but Andrew didn't have anything)We eventually had brunch at about 11am. (BIG)
thumbnail After we did some stuff in Future World, we started heading around the lake in the World Showcase. This picture was taken in Brittian. Notice how there's no phone in the phone booth, so Andrew had to use his cellphone instead. (BIG)
thumbnail The Hollywood Tower Hotel. This is where the Tower of Terror ride is at Disney-MGM studios. We took a boat from Epcot to MGM. Yes, our Third park in 1 day... and we weren't done yet. (BIG)
thumbnail the giant guitar outside the Rockin-Roller-Coaster at Disney-MGM. This ride is the first time Disney put it's guests upside down on US soil. (Since then, the California Adventure theme park opened at Disneyland, which has other upside-down rides.) (BIG)
thumbnail Andrew trying his hardest to open a book in the library (where the preshow is) at the Tower of Terror. The books were firmly glued to the table. (BIG)
thumbnail the "Earful Tower" water tower at Disney-MGM. Interestingly enough, the tower was never meant to hold water. This picture was taken from the line for the Rockin-Roller-Coaster. (BIG)
thumbnail The back of Andrew's Mickey Ears. (BIG)
thumbnail The back of Adam's Mickey Ears. They'll Embrodier your name for free. We got our Ears at "Geiger's Counter" (ha, ha, ha) in Tomorrowland at the Magic Kingdom. (BIG)
thumbnail Random picture of Andrew in line. (BIG)
thumbnail One of the big screens at Who Wants to be a Millionaire-Play it!! (or WWTBAMPI) This is a great show (We must have played it 7 or 8 times during our trip) that is set up exactly as the ABC gameshow (without Regis). Everybody in the Audience gets a chance at the "Hot Seat" not just the people in the fancy chairs at floor-level. Andrew and I both got into the hot seat during our trip. Andrew got to the 250,000 point (not dollars, unfortunatly) level, where he won $200 worth of free merchandice-- 13 trading pins (one for each question he answered correctly) a Baseball hat for reaching the 1,000 point level, and a $60 nice polo shirt for reaching the 32,000 point level. Adam got to the 125,000 point question, got it wrong, but still left with $170 worth of free merchandice-- 10 pins, the hat, and the polo shirt. (BIG)
thumbnail The hot seat in the Who Wants to be a Millionaire! This was taken right before they told the audience we couldn't take any pictures :-) (BIG)
thumbnail The big Sorceror's Hat at the studios. Notice Andrew, wearing the Duke T-shirt. Why is he waring a Duke T-shirt if we go to Georgia Tech?? (BIG)
thumbnail Adam infront of the big hat. He, at least, is wearing the free t-shirt that he got for buying his textbooks at the Engineer's Bookstore near the Tech campus. (BIG)
thumbnail A better (closer) view of Andrew infront of the big hat. (BIG)
thumbnail Back in the Magic Kindom-- our 4th park of the day (well, we went to one twice). The picture tells where we were headed. (BIG)
thumbnail Yo ho, yo ho, a parrot's life for me... squawwwk! (BIG)
thumbnail The lit-up castle at the MK. This pic didn't turn out so great, i'll probably take it off the website. Also, sorry it's rotated 90 degrees (or rotated 270 degrees, depending on your point of view.) That will be fixed soon. (BIG)
thumbnail A little bit better picture of the casle. Again, sorry it's rotated (Pi/4) radians. :-) (BIG)
thumbnail Adam infront of the castle. We're spent some time setting up the right flash, exposure, and appature settings to get the right shot. (BIG)
thumbnail Aaah.. now we're getting there... (BIG)
thumbnail Andrew infront of the castle. Notice how the castle changes color. (BIG)
thumbnail We came back to the Magic Kindom to see the nightime parade, and the fireworks. Here is a picture during the parade of the Genie conducting. (BIG)
thumbnail An under-exposed picture of Chip and Dale playing the piano. Also the back of somebody's head. This will be another picture I take off our website soon. (BIG)
thumbnail Another attempt to take apicture of Chip and Dale palying th piano... it probably would have worked, if it wasnt for the BRIGHT WHITE HAT that somehow got into the frame. (BIG)
thumbnail Finally we got a good picture of Chip and Dale, but they were too far away and I had to zoom in real close. One day, I'll run it through Adobe, and see if I can brighten it up a little. (BIG)
thumbnail So Adam, in frustration over the attempt to take a picture of Chip and Dale, hands the camera over to Andrew, who immediatly discovers that theres a "night mode" setting on the camera, so he can take good pictures like this one. (BIG)
thumbnail Another float during the parade. Since it was dark outside, a long exposure had to be used, which, since the floats were moving, caused the lights to streak some. I, wonder; if, I'm, making mistakes. in, my- punctuation: (BIG)
thumbnail A giant light-up fish. This pic didn't blur too bad. (BIG)
thumbnail A pic of the Castle at night. The blurryness came from too-long an exposure setting for us to hold the camera- our muscle tremors caused the pic to blur. (BIG)
